Rollin' On

Just bought 2001 Dutch Star DP 38'
Has Michelin Tires, like new but DOT says they are 5 plus years old.

NO cracking or splitting but need re-balanced though.

What is "safe" like of these tires.
Thanks

Some people would say you should get new tires now (5 years), but I'm planning to run my Michelins for 7 years.....some even go a bit longer. Rook

For peace of mind, have a reputable truck tire dealer check them..

On the other hand I ran mine to ten years to the month then replaced them with Michelin.

I will run my tires for 7 years then replace the fronts and run the rears until they start giving me a reason to replace. They will need frequent inspections as they age.
YMMV

Good luck

tires

I hope when your 7 to 10 year old tires fail and blow out, you do not take out another innocent vehicle
