RV Jacks

I have a 1996 winnebago vectra diesel pusher, the rear passenger side leveling jack works good while extending but when retracting it is extremely slow, wondering if there was an adjustment that would speed this up? I have tried spraying it with wd40 and this does not help. Need some advise on this problem. THANKS!!!!!!

Sounds like a bad cylinder. I had an HWH doing the same thing, and after checking that the return springs and valves were not the problem, I took the ram to a local hydraulic cylinder repair shop. They replaced the seals and it works as good as new. As I recall, they charged about $150 and a new one would have been well over $300.
