Suspension Noise

On our 2005 Winnebago Journey WKP32T with an XC chassis I
have a suspension noise on the drivers side near front wheel. On less than perfect paved roads I hear and sometimes feel a banging/chattering sound. My visual inspection has not turned anything up. Any ideas?
Thanks
Jeff

Does it still have the original shocks? sounds like a failed or aging shock to me.

Replaced all 4 with Koni FSD shocks less than 1 year ago.

Not sure if you have a sway bar, but if you do then check the bar and the end link bushings.

X2 - very common to have these bushings worn out or even missing.

Check the track bar also, the ends on mine were starting to go...had to replace the whole bar.

One other thing to check is the compartment in front of the driver side front wheel. If you stow stuff in that compartment and it’s loose and bumping around you’ll hear it from the drivers seat. I had a mystery noise that turned out to be a metal ring on my tire pressure gauge vibrating against the side of that compartment. Drove me nuts.

My jacks made that sound. Suspended inside and swinging back and forth in the bracket.
Bungee wrapped it at the bottom, over the the piston tube, and around the bracket. Doesn't interfere with jacks and stopped the knocking.
