Has anyone ever had a problem with their tilt steering? I have an 06 Dynaquest on an M2 106 chassis that I bought less then a month ago and trying to fix a lot of issues on it. The telescopic portion works ok with the foot pedal that I fixed however the tilt portion never locks in. I can pull the steering wheel down but have to hold it or it will go all the way back up to a almost horizontal position when the telescopic portion is as close as it can be to me. There is no lever for the tilt. I cannot believe it is just supposed to be free to go up and down unless I hold it in the position I want. Thought I found something on the net to tighten a nut after removing a cotter pin but mine does not have that after I drop the steering column. Thank you for any assistance.

Unless something has changed the tilt and telescoping are both released/controlled by the foot pedal. I can't answer for where to start troubleshooting.

Thanks, No instructions in the owners manual and by pushing on the foot pedal it allows it to telescope and lock in but the pedal does not move any other way to try to do something with the tilt portion.
No Problem, Also asking on Dynamax forum and getting a little info where they say they push the pedal down and that can tilt it and then it you pull it back it locks it. Problem with mine is it is acting like a brake. You can push it is and the only thing it activates is the telescoping portion. The tilt portion goes up and down freely with out anything pushed in. Try pulling the pedal back and it does not come back any farther. As said similar to a regular brake where you can push in and when you let it go it springs back and you cannot bring it back any farther. Thanks.
