Warning beep when in neutral ??

just started , it seem's like when I go from drive to nutrual and pull the parking brake and leave it on I get a warning beep , if I put my foot on the brake the beep stop's , also I can turn brake on and off a few time's and it will get rid of the beeb so I can leave it in park

any idea ?
I think it could be a bad sensor

Thank you
mike

It could be the parking brake "switch". I had one go out on our coach. I do not remember if it alarmed or not but ours was leaking air so I knew it was bad!

Mine does that and I discovered that if I reach behind the parking brake switch and "wiggle" the two wires it stops beeping. It also would not allow me to put the jacks down until I do the same thing. I'll be checking this weekend to see if those wires can be tightened or if I need a new switch.

Today I took the yellow parking brake assembly loose and in looking at the terminals where the wires make contact I saw they were corroded to the extent that it was hard to make contact.
I sprayed with contact cleaner but that doesn't remove the corrosion. I got my Dremel tool and used a very small wire brush attachment and cleaned all the corrosion off both parts that needed to make a good contact.
Works like it was supposed to now.

When the parking brake is applied and you put the transmission in drive or reverse you will get a beep. If the parking brake is released, and you put the transmission in neutral, you will get a beep then also.

I get a beep when I release the air brake and put the transmission in drive, it will beep going down the road until I reach point b and apply the brake. No lights are on and the jacks are up.
