Is this the correct pigtail/plug for an electric trailer brake controller?

Yes it is. The brake controller wiring circuits are as follows (Source: Freightliner Tech Support and confirmed on Freightliner schematic):

Circuit 36G = Brake Light Signal (activated by brake pedal NOT exhaust brake), Red with White tracer, 18ga

Circuit 36T = Trailer Signal (this is Freightliner's terminology, although this is the outbound power lead TO the trailer brakes), Red with White tracer (yes it IS the same color code), 12ga wire (that's how you tell 'em apart)

Circuit 29A = Illumination light (if controller has backlighting), Brown

Circuit 14T = +12v supply to controller, Red (this is a 12ga wire)

Circuit (not numbered) = Ground, Black

Packard Connector p/n (for Freightliner use) PAC 12064754
Packard Terminal p/n (for Freightliner use) PAC 12129498

Andyh,

Thank you so very much! Why is it so hard to find this info, rhetorical question? I owe you a meal and drinks if we ever run into one another.

BTW, if anyone needs the male pin plug, I have 50 of them now. Only way I could find them in a timely fashion. 50¢ each plus postage.

I have been wanting to add a brake controller. Are the 2003 Freightliner chassis trailer connectors the same as the 2013 models? If so I would like to get a plug.

I just purchased a 03 expedition on a freightliner chassis manufactured 10-02. I was given a part number from Fleetwood for a connector, $133.00, which I got from Freightliner. I have now found that Freightliner did not start prewiring for a brake controller till 04. Anybody need a plug, free if you can use it. Looking for anyone that knows if the trailer power wire from the trailer plug is routed to the front and where does it come out.

Just ordered connector and terminals from Mouser no minimum 1.23 for connector and .23 for terminals (bought extra in case I mess up). Mouser # is 800-346-6873 Connector part # pac 12064754-Terminal # pac 12129498. Hope this helps someone out. My coach is a 2007 Fleetwood Excursion

I could use the plug if you still have it. Let me know? Thanks Dave

So I have a 2006 Expedition and am guessing this is the same Connector and terminals I will need? How many of each. I will need to Connector for the Prodigy brake controller and also coach connector correct? Does the same connector work on both? And what about terminals?

Thanks for help

you will need 1 connector (male) It's a 6 hole connector you will only use 4. 4 terminals. female connector should be located down around steering column. connectors are marked A B C D E F for each hole. For my prodigy 2 brake controller wires you connect as follow- cavity A red wire. cavity C blue wire. cavity D black wire. cavity E white wire. You do not use cavity B or F. So much easier then hard wiring!
