Dave - I agree - their boxes are awesome but crazy expensive. I just turned 70 years old a bit over a month ago. When I was in Jr High - about 1967 my late parents bought a used 1959 Rambler car for $75.00 - total cost and we drove it for several years. Now the UBW box is somewhere over $60,000 now - you get it.

Surgery next week - in a few weeks should be able to order a NH

I have my surgery scheduled for next Tuesday to remove my Ostomy bag with robot-assisted surgery.

I talked to Cole this week at NH - they are 14 to 15 months behind now, so we will try to ger an ordered placed as soon as we can.

Does anyone know at which point we have to finalize everything with NH?

Blessings and thanks for your prayers.

Hope the surgery went well.

I did what you are doing two years ago. It took forever because of COVID but I finally acquired a chassis cab F-550.

Then I took it to Valparaiso, IN and had Classy Chassis put a box on.

One of the best aftermarket decisions I made (in addition to the Keldermann air ride) was getting the high capacity Trailer Saver hitch.

My 2012 Majestic is a 37 footer with a total loaded weight of 21,000 pounds. But the kingpin weight is bonkers at 5,500lbs. Again, the Keldermann auto-leveling air ride is fantastic.
Hitched up and ready to go we're 60 feet long.

We're fulltimers and in the last two years with this truck/trailer combination we have crossed the country east to west and Padre Island, TX to Flaming Gorge, UT. We've seen hot and we've seen cold. There have been endless stretches desolate highways and white knuckle mountain passes. The F-550 has performed stellar. I had a 2006 F-550 that was just the opposite. It spent more time on the rack with the cab off doing major repairs than it did on the road. You should do well with the route you are going.

Edit: I had attached several pictures of my rig but the post stripped them off when I published. Don't know what that's about.

Surgery went well and got rid of my Ostomy bag.......

I am doing well, but healing up is slower this time, but have normal bowel movements which is a miracle itself.

I am convinced to buy the cab and chassis F550 Lariat and take it to Elkhart, Indiana, or have it dropped shipped there and get the Utility Body Werks box on it but will take a few months to get it done completely.

And we live about three hours north of NH factory and NH are very good fifth wheel RVs, and we like them a lot.

Thanks for your concerns and prayers for me.

Blessings.
