ScoobySue, I did the same thing and felt the same - . When I called Vizio, the Tech helped me find the model #. I wish I could remember it.. I had the new remote in a couple of weeks.. Give their customer service a call..

The black tank flush is easy. Sump pump in a 5 gallon pail of antifreeze. Short hose to the black tank fitting. Plug the pump in until the antifreeze can be seen entering the black tank. Done. I'll be doing mine permanently as I won't be using mine again after this year. Ive found it as useful as a 3 dollar bill. Back to the "magic wand" for me!

The model number of the tv can be found on the back of the unit along with the serial number.

ScoobySue.....Our model # & serial # are on the back right side of the tv at the bottom. The model # of our tv is E321VL but not sure if yours would be the same. If you go to www.vizio.com and click on support there a bar that will come up for 'chat' and you can chat live with someone at Vizio. That's how we found out that Vizio sells to a company in Indiana that in turn sells to Keystone. I hope you have good luck getting a new remote!

We are in the Pacific Northwest. But intend to use our 321RES between here and Arizona. If you find yourself venturing out (north)west, we would love to visit.

We are wanting to buy the 321RES, however, we have a 2010 Silverado 1500 and the max towing on it is 10,000 LBS. Anybody towing this camper with this size vehicle? We're first time travel trailer owners, and love the Cougar High Country style and quality - just major concerned about the weight. Thanks!

You'd be really pushing your truck. What motor is in it? Is it the 5.3 or the max towing package with the 6.2? If you have the 6.2, you'd be ok. If you have the 5.3 then absolutely forget about it unless you're ok with having it to the floor most of the time. This trailer is really more suited for a 3/4 ton.

Heavy Sigh...It's a 5.3 with the Z85 package. Looking at travel trailers that are "light weight" and "1/2 ton towable" has been very misleading. Of course all the sales people "swear" we will have no problems towing. Any suggestions on finding a lighter weighted TT or 5th wheel that is the same quality? Thank you so much for your advice! Wish we would have looked at TT weights before we bought the truck. Guess we saw too many "1/2 ton towable" signs!! Thanks again!

Yes Seabrina, you're absolutely right. Dealers are really full of it in that dept. We sold our Arctic Fox to get this trailer. We had considered trading it before we were able to sell it outright. It weighed over 1400 lbs on the tongue and was known to be one of the heaviest trailers in it's class and floorplan. Anyways, one dealer we were talking to told me that he would have no problem selling that trailer to someone with a half ton pickup. Just put some airbags in the rear suspension he said. I was amazed. I have heard a ton of similar stories on this and other RV forums. As for what to look for, I would try to stay away from a trailer with a GVWR that's near your truck's max 10k rating. You don't want to be working it to the max all the time unless you plan on trading it soon. Don't worry, there are plenty of nice trailers out there in the 8-10k range that you will like. Just keep looking at web sites and checking specs before falling in love with floorplans. The perfect trailer is out there!!!

We tow our 321RES with a 2010 F-150 supercrew 4x4. We have the 5.4 with a 3.73 axle and max Ford towing package. Supposedly to tow up to 11,300. I know we won't go up the hills with any great speed....probably in the slow semi-truck lanes. So far...no problems towing with the centerline hitch set up.

ILC, I don't have any experience with the Ford 5.4. I do have the Chevy 5.3 in my 2011 Express 1500 van with the 3.73 gears. It has all it can handle towing my 6000 boat and trailer. I can even imagine putting this trailer behind it.

Thanks for all the words of advice! We are watching the Cougar web site - as they are slowly updating information on new 2012 TT and FW's! Fingers crossed - they will have a smaller High Country TT or FW.

Both the wife and I fell in love with the 321RES when we first saw it at the Tampa show last January. But then I made up my mind that I wanted to hold out and see if there was anything new in a FW coming out for 2012 that could be towed by my 3/4 ton truck. That's how we ended up ordering the KZ 1500. Granted, I'll still be maxed out on my truck's gross weight (GVWR) with the added pin weight in the bed even though It won't be near the total gross weight (GCWR).

Im not sure about what the available rear axle capacity is on your truck, but you might want to check out the new Open Range Light's or KZ 1500's. They make some nice 1/2 ton towable FW's.

There's really not a lot of triple slide TT's on the market. They say that's changing, but it's slow coming. I guess maybe it has to do with the economy. Just keep in mind that a triple slide TT or FW will add significant weight to front of the trailer. That mean more tongue weight or "pin" weight to the rear of your truck. Even though the truck may be able to haul the total weight of the trailer, it can make for a scary ride if the excess weight causes the front wheels of the truck to be light.
