Do you think they would change it out to the air bed sofa like you said since that is what I really wanted and they told it was NOT possible? I'm still within my warranty period.

I also asked for this and was told we could not get the air bed in the kitchen slide. Apparently it fits, so I wonder if this is a weight issue for the kitchen slide. We already have the fridge, stove and cabinets on that side.
If weight is the reason, I would stay away from it. If it is not, and you get a replacement, let us know.. That would be awesome!

I am totally serious! Turtle1 and I both have 2012's with build dates in July of 2011 - picked up on the same day in August. Since our kids don't camp with us much anymore, it is nice to have the extra bed space when they do show up for the weekend every once in awhile. Otherwise, it just nice for the wife to have her own "space" on "her" couch.

Well, guess what? I'm getting the air bed sofa on the kitchen side. I talked to the dealership that sold it to me and even have the email proof from the sales guy I dealt with saying they could NOT do it that way. The service department called Keystone and it can indeed be done and it was actually on my work order that way so they are covering it under warranty and giving me the air bed sofa.
Yeah!! I'm soo happy right now and so glad I have nice folks like you guys to keep me IN THE LOOP!!!! Now my kids don't have to be squished when they sleep on the jack knife sofa! LOL

About the air sofa bed on the kitchen side! While shopping around in September I received a call from Pete's RV and they had a 2012 model on their lot with the jack knife bed on the kitchen side and two recliners on the dinette side. I told him that I would prefer the air sofa bed on the kitchen side. He told me that through his conversations with Keystone about this issue, he was informed that because of the higher step up on the kitchen side that you see under the frig and along the bottom of that slide out. The air sofa bed would not sit level when opened up. He then preceeded to tell me that Keystone was working on the issue due to the many requests. I received a call later from a dealer closer to home that had just received a 2012 model with the larger A/C, 50 AMP service and the air sofa bed on the kitchen side along with the recliners. We purchased this TT and brought it home about 2 weeks ago. I noticed that the manufacture date on the trailer was October 25th 2012. (maybe there was some truth to the adjustment that needed to be made)

Interesting info BK. Thanks! You must have gotten it from the future since your trailer won't be built for another 10 months!!!

Been in touch with Petes RV, they tell me that you cannot get 2 airbed sofas because they both cant be open at the same time and because of the step on the kitchen side.

That makes sense. I figured that's why that was never an option...

modifications
1. I added clear plastic film to protect the lower front of the TT from rocks kicked up from the TV rear tires.
2. I discovered our mattress is not that bad, but the foundation under it sags baddly. I'm tearing into it with the goal of improving it's rigidity. I will post findings.
