Concerning the crack I mentioned before...long story short - I found a crack in the black tank of all things. Not sure what caused it but need to get it fixed. I ended up buying and applying this - Plasti-Mend - So far so good. Has 5 gals of water in the tank right now and no leaks! I'm going to load the black tank up to its maximum this weekend - which is 32 gals, not 28 as spec'd, fyi - to make sure it holds a full load before I'm totally convinced. According the manufacturer of the tank - Ameri-Kart, part number HT-293 for the black tank and HT-432 for the bathroom grey tank for future reference - says it is 32 gals.

Going out in a couple of weeks for 3 days and I'll let you know how it holds up.

Kathy - Here is a pic of the gas spring you requested...

And here is a pic of the finished patch job on the black tank...

Black tank is to the right and the gate valve is to the left.

Wow...62 pages! I think maybe I asked the first question on this site and had no idea there would be such a great response. Everyone has such good suggestions and it pays to keep up on all of the comments posted here. Welcome 55post and enjoy your 321RES....it's a great rv!

One other question I have is how you are receiving HD television on both TV's.

Our 321 only came with the one TV in the main room. We have a 22" Vizio we purchased for the bedroom that sits on the dresser. We also purchased a Sony Blu-ray player from Costco that we can connect to either TV with a HDMI cable.

I believe the roof antenna and the external cable coax are connected to both locations and should allow HD programming in both locations. We're planing on getting a portable Directv sat dish so we can take one of our home HD-DVR receivers with us. So far, we haven't needed to have both TVs on at the same time.

Hope this helps a little...

Need some HELP PLEASE

Getting ready for a trip, open every thing up (slides) finish packing and go to close everything up. Bedroom, kitchen, and I only close the living room 1/2 as so I can put a few more things up. I go inside the house for a few hours, come back out to finish closing, and none of my slides work (from the control pannel, nothing no bed room no kitchen, not even the awning. I go out side to the stabilizers and they dont work from the storage bin...... I was about to lose my lid !!!

I checked all the breakers, all the fuses, and reset the entire electrical system via breakers, still nothing.

I grabed the remote, and they ALL WORK via the remote!!! WTH??

Everything works with the remote but not from the control panel, or the toggle switch in the cargo area for the stabilizers.

Im still going to go on the trip, but would love if anyone has any IDEAS on what the hell is up wit this.

THanks guys
Marty

Not sure how the "command center" panel is wired but, it sounds like there may be common connection to all the switches that's come loose. The circuit for the remote may be wired away from the panel.

Hi Marty, I have been thinking about your control problem. I have requested a wiring diagram (drawing) from Keystone and am told it is not available. With that said I can tell you that a remote works when pushing a desired button by picking a relay there by energizing the coil. Then through the relays contacts the battery (12 volts ) goes to and energizes the device. I am in agrement with Mr. Clay Hammer that there should be a Battery Buss or main wire coming up to the control panel to supply energy to the switches in that panel. You already know that all the devices are working through out the Trailer by using the remote so it has to be a control issue. Without a wiring diagram I can only guess that the problem may be in one of a couple places. If you have a volt meter you can check a couple of places that I would try first. One, the battery may not be leaving the main panel power box going up to the control panel on the wall. Two the battery ( 12 volts ) may be arriving in the control box but disconnected before it can supply all the switches that control the devices. Again without seeing a drawing I'm am guessing here. I don't think that the power would be coming directly from the control up front in the baggage compartment close to the external battery. Then traveling to the inside control box up on the wall because the relay's already have power supplied to their contacts just waiting for the remote to tell them to pick up. It is a process of eliminating the possibilities. As we used to say in the process of tracking an electrical problem, " some little thing in there needs fixing." When you do find the problem I will bet that it will be some simple thing like a wire that pulled out of a wire nut or there about. Please keep us informed with your progress so we can hopefully supply you with other possibilities as you go through your list and eliminate them one by one. Ted

We had the same thing happen to us. There is a fuse in the storage compartment. It is covered by a plastic covering. We replaced it a 30 AMP BLADE FUSE AUTO RESET CIRCUIT BREAKER. You have to take the cover off the wiring area. It was on the port side (drivers side) of the storage compartment in our 2011 model.

Thanks Ted thanks Jac thanks hammer!!!

It's 430 in the am and 27deg out !! So ill check for that fuse alittle later

We still went on our trip (we are here now) 8 hr drive and one blow out!! Not mine but on my brother in laws trailer. I was actually talking to him on the phone when it happened I was following him, I was like " hey Jim, bla bla bla HOLY $&@! YOU JUST HAD A BLOW OUT PULL OVER PULL OVER! "

Man we changed that thing NASCAR style! In 10 mins we were done!
Changing a tire on a swaying camper on the side of a super busy interstate is NOT the place to hang out! When those big rigs came flying by at 75 felt like Jim's camper was going to come off the jack !

Back on topic

Ill check that fuse a little later!!

Thanks guys thanks for helping me out ! I really appreciate it I don't post allot but I read this thread every time there's a new post (I get an alert)

Lots of good folks on here! Again thanks

So I've decided to keep my 321 for a while longer despite the desire to upgrade. There are a few things I want to do come spring for easier use, feel and comfort. Just curious if anyone has thoughts or experience on the following

Removing the couch on the street side to replace with one that has a built in air mattress or sleeper instead of jackknife (my other side has two chairs and I find dragging out an air mattress for guests inconvenient)

Installing a sprayer on the kitchen sink (new faucet with sprayer installed or other options?)

Somehow covering or replacing the mirrored doors in the bedroom. I find them a little cheesy and too reflective of any light while trying to sleep in.

Installing a 15k btu ac. I have a 13.5 now and 30 amp. Is this going to be possible and is it going to actually be any cooler?

Has anyone installed slide room roof awnings? In my perm spot I park near a tree curb side and that's my main one that I want to do to keep leaves, etc off the slide roof. I'd probably hold off on the street side.
