charging battery

Hi

Fairly new to the forum. Have read all 64 post about the 321 res and have learned a ton in just a couple days. Will be getting our 2012 321 res the last of this month.

Do have a question. Will the battery on the 321 while being towed be charged through the tow vehicle if the vehicle has been wired for this?

Thanks Stan

Stan,
Welcome to the Forum!! Great bunch of folks here!!
Our F350 does - but it came with the resources to do so - 2 batteries and alternators.. Typically, when we leave I always plug the trailer in one or two days prior to pre-cool the fridge and what not, so with that there is no issue for the batteries are charged..

My battery gets charged when I'm towing, but I don't have two alternators or two batteries, just one each. I do have a high output alt but I'm sure yours will charge as well maybe just not as a high rate.

Hi Stan,

Congrats on your new TT. Are you purchasing new or used? Just curious since you said it's a 2012 model.

As the others have stated, your TT house batteries will charge while connected to the tow vehicle. Keep in mind that it will be at a very low rate compared to being connected to shore power.

Thank you all for the info on the battery charging while being towed. We are buying a used 2012 321. It does come with an equal i zer hitch set up, just have to make sure it is set up right for my truck. Will be pulling it with a 2006 dodge ram 2500 5.9 diesel. Don't think I should have any problems with towing it.

Again thanks for all of the folks on the forum and the valuable information that is presented and passed on. Can't wait to get the TT at the end of the month.

Hi Stan,
As far as I know, the dual-pane windows are not part of the Polar Package and are only available by special order from the factory.

Hi Stan,

Welcome to the forum In regard to the dual pane windows I believe Mike is right. When we picked up ours a second unit arrived at same time with dual pane windows that had been special ordered.

when I was looking at 321's I was told they were separate from the polar package and were special order items for $1000 extra.

Watch out when you try to hook up a home satellite box. We tried that and never got it to work. We bought a Dish Tailgater system with a k211 receiver. Total cost 600. and it works great. We do have to call Dish when ever we move over three hundred miles to tell them to switch us to the new areas receiving signal. Fox and CNN news works anywhere but your regular programing will change with your location.

Hey folks,
Can anyone tell me the actual size of the air bed mattress? I want to buy bedding for it, but it's in storage for a few more weeks.
Thanks!

The sofa mattress is a standard queen (60" x 80"). We picked up a couple of sheet sets at Target and they fit just fine.
