If you’re interested in this event, please join us... We’re staying at Oak Plantation Campground, which is about 10 miles from the Balloon Festival. FYI... Event and Parking tickets are on sale now and discounted through the end of May....

We bought our tickets yesterday...

Go online Charleston Balloon Festival you have to order online and when complete they send e mail which you have to print

We have made Reservation at Oak Plantation 10/11 to 10/15

And ordered the tickets for the Festival and Parking

Maybe some are all of you may have noticed, this Charleston balloon festival we're going to, is also the site for the Victory Cup polo match... The date and address is the same for each event.

Received an E Mail today concerning a Victory Cup dinner. We will not attend this event. There are a few restaurants we like in the Charleston area and will decide which one we would like to go to Saturday night.

If your into the Hot Air Balloons there is a long running Festival in Statesville, NC think it's been going on for 30 some years it's also in October. It's not Charleston, but 50 or so Balloons, of every size and discription. On year they moved to UNION GROVE, NC near where I lived at the time. They launched 4 Balloons from our front yard ! Now that's something ya don't see every day !

Looks like this storm "Michael" is going to have some effect on SC starting Wednesday night through Friday.... Not good for start of balloon festival.

Our arrival date at the CG is Thursday. Guess we might postpone arrival to Friday. Must keep a sharp eye on the Weather Reports and E Mails coming from the sponsors. If winds are still elevated I would guess they will cancel.

We were looking forward to seeing everyone but we have decided to cancel our trip to the Oak Plantation CG. The weather is going to be a mess on Thursday and maybe some of Friday. The latest from the festival is that it's a rain or shine event with no refunds. The balloons will depend on the weather...
