2002 wiper motor wiring diagram

Does anyone happen to have a wiring diagram for my 2002 wiper motor. There is a multi-wire ( 8 or so ) bundle that attaches via plug on the wiper motor pigtail that I want to identify each wire in, I want to install a variable speed motor control into the circuit so rather than just having hi, lo and variable intermittent, I can also control speed over the entire range as an option. in general my hi speed is too fast and throws the wipers back and forth almost violently which I would like to limit. Is this pretty normal for this wiper system?
