48" Curved TV installation

Last year I took out the plasma and put in a Samsung 48" curved TV and sound bar. I used generic TV mount and put sound bar under TV. Great fit.

Beautiful,

I am curious as to the benefits of a curved screen over a flat screen.

Same with me...a 47" flat TV is the largest that will fit...unfortunately they no longer make 47" so the best option was the 48" curved.
