Question Cockpit overhead cabinet falling down 2006 TS

2006 TS model number 42DS04

Between the windshield and the Upholstered cabinet that holds TV, Something looks wrong. I can see bare wood.

I noticed that the front spacer area is falling down. You have to put your head next to windshield and look up. It is between the glass and the cabinet. I am not sure what is going on yet?

I may need to remove the entire length of cabinet?

Any experience on either of these is appreciated.

Good choice - remove tv....if it's the old style tv - now's the time to look at a flat screen.....need a roller shade for windshield? Flatten the bottom of the cabinets now. You can remove the center TV cabinet first to look things over.....and make decisions from there. Hopefully the wood isn't rotten that your cabinets are screwed into. Just finished installing mine - just detail wood trim left. Unfortunately the picture is sideways....:-)

As previously suggested, remove the TV. The inspection panel behind it is held in place with Velcro so it is easy to also remove. Once you gain access check for damaged wood. The clearance lights are a known leak point that cause problems in that area. While you have the TV removed is a good time to redo that area and install a flat screen. You can see mine on a drop down arm below my new storage cabinet.
