Halo reinforcing

I would like to find out about the halo reinforcing that they are doing with the newer coaches,I have a 04 dso4 40ft that has the x-bracing done and I am going to get another windshield and the gasket changed, there has to be a proper fix for this problem.

I believe I read once that Precision Paint will do the Halo mod, but it's a big job because the front cap needs to come off. Typically, proper x-bracing solves the problem, but there has been a few revisions to the mod. One that comes to mind is additional support from the genset to the frame. Do you have that? I'm sure a few others that have direct X-bracing experience will chime in. Good luck.

I had the X-Bracing done on my 45' coach 2 years ago and haven't had any issues. The 40' coach shouldn't be nearly the problem. As previously mentioned, the halo bracing is quite a project & expensive. Also, mentioned was the additional bracing behind the generator which is extremely important to solving the windshield issue. If your 40' is a 2 windshield type then the bracket hidden in the cabinets between the 2 windshields might not be secured. Finally, another point is how the windshields were replaced. Precision Paint has a person come out on sight and installs the windshield "a special way". I wasn't allowed to move my coach for 24 hours after the installation.

I do everything I could before doing the halo. JMHO.

Who did your bracing? I was at Precision Paint when someone brought in a coach that had the bracing done by someone else and was still having problems. Once Precision does your bracing I believe your problems are solved mine was done in 2011 and it was a complete success. I have a 2005 Select 45 ft.
