How do I open the Hot Water Compartment Door?

I had a reply to this question earlier this year but I cannot find it.
I need to service the hot water heater but cannot open the compartment door.
Maybe if I new how to search the forums better I could find it.

AccessMaster, On my rig (2002 Holiday Rambler Endeavor) the outside door is a spring latch. Just pull the latch out and line up the latch with the slot in the door and you have it. On the inside, my hot water heater access panel is below the storage closet that is across from the sink and next to the electronic monitoring panel. (to check your battery capacity, amps drawn, etc). Hope this helps.

If it is like mine you'll need to remove the painted front cover to the water heater (4 screws and a boatload of silicon) and the stainless furnace inlet/outlet cover. Then there are two sheetmetal screws at the bottom of the door that are attached to the framerail. Once the screws are removed the door swing up on hinges similar to the basement compartment doors. Obviously it doesn't have a strut to hold it open so you'll need to prop it up with a stick. Good luck.

Thanks Lou, That sounds like the solution to getting the compartment open.
