Location and fuse for in dash heater fan.
Hello, I've checked and called about anyone and everyone I could. I have a 2006 Travel Supreme, select, 42' MH. My in-dash heater/AC fan quit working and trying to figure where the fuse or fan motor is located. You would not believe the answers I been given. The control is much like truck heater/AC controls in-dash. There is a small panel with a few switches. It must hiding as I have check every fuse turn out and none has blown or ID as heater fan.
There is an approx. 2' x 2'black panel about the center that all the items, like GPS, Radio, Travel function screen, cameras are located. It is held in with about
6 or 8 small screws. Could it be behind it? The rest of the dash is about impossible to remove with major things that could happen besides damage to finishes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Rusty

Hmmm, have you looked at your resistor bank? None of your fan speeds will work if the main resistor blows. It's a small 2"x2" ish panel in the dach hvac plenum usually accessed on the forward side of the firewall, usually by sliding the genset out. It's got a plug and a lot of wires going into it. Other than that, all my fuses are located in my forward curbside bay.

I have an 06 Select, but have never had an issue with that, so never looked for its fuse. I expect it will be downstairs in the electrical compartment ahead of the driver side front wheel, on the Spartan chassis fuse panel that is straight in.
Not at the coach now, but will check when I get back to it in a few hours.

Dunno....on my coach, the last four fuses at the bottom in the middle of the big Spartan bank, outside below the driver, are labelled "drv seat" "drv air" "pas seat" "pas air".
Since TS never had air-ride seats that I know of, I'm thinking those air fuses refer to the fan switches at the two front seat positions. There's a red switch on the dash just to the left of my HVAC controls...that controls power to the fan switch beside the passenger seat. It's probably fed by that "pas air" fuse.
Or not!
I'm unable to test this theory at the moment due to the hour, my house members' weariness, and the pending rain....
Love to hear what you find.

There is a bank of fuses for the dash heater/AC located...sorry, but it is behind the dash panel that the radio, camera monitor, etc. are mounted in. A bit of a pain to access. Sits up on a ledge just behind the radio.

heater fuses, or
Well, Thank all of you for your input. But, nothing has helped so far. I've checked every fuse in the main panel, exterior driver's side. Every one of them checked perfectly. Then I took the main dash panel where the GPS, Cameras, and other goodies are. WOW, what a rat's nest of wiring. I think someone was in there before. I found one relay on the ledge, but not fuses. I Will check the relay tomorrow. There is lots of black tap that is poorly done on many wires and a bundle that is all taped up. I don't think any manufacture worth their sand would ever wire a system like this. Have been manufacture for many years of truck-related equipment there would have been head-rolled.
So, the adventure continues.
I know the control is getting power when I turn the left switch which directs the ducting system I can hear the butterfly moving in the tubes changing the airflow direction. But no motor sounds. Thanks to all again. I will keep you posted.

Morning Herb1, I have come to a conclusion. This MH has had too many hands-on in the past. There is no fuse block behind the instrument panel that I can fine. The wiring has been taped up in a mess. Where wires were way to long, instead of cutting a fitting to an acceptable length they were just rolled up and taped together. Then added too. I'm going to try a sounding system that I devised many years back. Disconnect batteries and then add a buzzer at the heater control and back feed power from different places to locate when the source is. Time-consuming but safest way to back track and then I can mark wires to show where they come and go.
Thanks for your inout.

Well, I just went through this same exact thing. 2015 Fleetwood Flair 26D. Headed to Key West March 1st. Blower quit working half way down. Wasn’t too hot so used the generator some to run the coach ac some. Got to Key West. Checked every fuse and relay I could find and searched the internet. Never could find one to get the blower going. Ended up using the generator some for the trip back to NC. Spent a full day at home searching. Figured I would give up and take to the local Ford place. Decided at 9 o’clock that night to try one more time. Pulled out the radio/screen so I could see the blower switch wiring. Found what I believed to be the red wire supplying power to the switch. Like you my valves controlling the actuators would move but no blower. I traced the red wire to a connector attached to a white wire which is a Fleetwood wire connector. I traced the white wire through the dash over above the emergency brake. There I found 3 fuses wired tied together and shoved up into a wire rat nest. Proceeded to remove each fuse. Found a 25 amp fuse burnt and blown. Replaced and everything works fine now. Still don’t know what the other 2 go to but they all were white wires Fleetwood installed. Not sure why Fleetwood would fuse the blower motor when Ford already has fuses and relays for it. The Ford place would have never known about the fuse. Very frustrating. Here are some pics of the wires and connectors. Hope this may help you.
For reference
Bottom pic is red wire from switch connected to white wire going to blown fuse
Next to bottom is brown wire with orange stripe connected to white wire going to blower motor
Top pic is 3 fuses wired tied together shoved up in the dash above the emergency brake where the 25 amp fuse was blown supplying power to the switch.

Oh yea, getting to those fuses between the seat and under dash requires you to be part monkey! Lol
As you can see, those connectors are not Ford factory.

I will also add. I ran 12 volts from my cig lighter plug directly to confirm the blower worked. I used this to circulate air for the ride home. Also bypass your resistor to make sure it’s not bad.

My butterfly was moving the airflow valves too but there wasn’t 12 volts to the red wire.

Hi Guys, Just in. Hittintheroad described the dream I had last night about my headache on the TS, there is another word describing TS, and I am getting that feeling. After reading your story and the photos you generously attached. So, I pulled the instrument cluster in front of the driver position. Wish I had not. I wondered why the screws were not tight, the plate, the gauges mount had major cracks. I followed the red wire from the heater clear the where it went into hiding G only knows where. I figured it went into the electrical box outside below the driver's seat. BUT, this box if full of wires and fuses and circuit breaker and relays. WOW, But in the wire nest hanging in the middle someone put in a relay, It's not factory-installed. I had a new one and put it in and nothing changed. I rechecked all the fuses about 60 or so. Nothing blown there so rechecked again with key off. Still nothing. But every RED wire that was visible was hot with the key on. Tomorrow, I'll double-check and might just add a red wire with a fuse
