Max fan deluxe

I am thinking about replacing the original fantastic fan which is not working well with a max fan deluxe. I have watched installation videos and I don't see any weather strip for heat retention during cold weather. for those who have installed one, is there any weather stripping that this unit closes on?
Thank you
Dave

Replaced my original fantastic fan with a newer model which fit the old stack to the roof. The original stack did not leak

For insulating the fan opening, this product from Camco works pretty well:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

In cold weather, especially when we head to Florida in January, I put them in our two fan openings and they work. And, in the bathroom, it's very easy to just remove it when you want to ventilate after taking a shower.

my fantastic fan lid closes down on what used to be a rubber gasket. I am just wondering if the max fan deluxe has anything similar. I assume it is for heat retention.

Yes, the Maxxair fan has a rubber gasket the lid seals against. Probably more for dust and air intrusion than anything else.
