Need main tv make and model TS 2007 mid engine

Pulled out old tv without taking pic of back and connections. Wiring is unmarked except for 1-8 for the cable order across the back. Need to get model so I can find the manual to determine wiring order.

2007 mid engine. I believe the 2006 had a different model.

There is no tv thats the problem. I tossed before taking a pic of all the cable input labels on back of tv. Model will get the manual I need. JVC is all I know.

So I assume then you have a single or two coaxs, and some RCA male plugs? I wouldn’t think you’ve got HDMI, but . . . . . .?

For starters, you won’t burn anything up by hooking it up wrong.

For RCA’s, yellow to yellow, red to red, white to white.

For coax’s - if you have 1, it goes to the coax connector on the TV. If you have two coax’s, the old TV may have had a pass thru like the old VCR’s used to have. You may or may not need the pass-thru capability any more.
It’ ll be a guess as to which coax comes from your antenna, and which goes further downstream to other TV’s.

On my ME, there were 8 RCA male plugs and a coax. The coax is the cable from the BOMB (box of many buttons). The RCAs ran to the DVD/surround sound player over the desk. I used a wire circuit tone chaser (can get at ACE, Home Depot, etc) to match each RCA to the ones over the desk. One is Composite Video (yellow connector), next two are right and left sound OUT from the TV, the other 5 are the three component video (R, G, B) and R/L sound (red/black) out from the DVD player for the component and sound in on the TV. That may be your biggest hurdle since fewer TV's today have component inputs. You can buy a component to HDMI converter. I chose to use a wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver box to push the output of my Sat box to the big TV. It has a pass through to the front TV so I can watch it on both. You can also look at running a Cat-5 or -6 wire between the source and the TV, and use an HDMI-over-CAT converter. Those are good for up to 300ft and Cat network wire is WAY easier to snake in/through spaces than multi-strand HDMI cables.

Southwire Tools M500CX4 Coax Continuity Video Cable Tester/Mapper Is your friend when trying to figure out coax runs. Runs about $25 bucks on ebay, may find one for less. I changed out all my TV with smart ones, If your not the original owner may not be wired like it was from the factory. All my connections are in a cabinet on my 2002.
