Passenger Rear Jack Not Responded

Afternoon, Have a 2001 36 DSO TS. When extracting jacks....all work except for Pass. rear. It just sits there. Have a HWH Leveling System without Auto feature.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in Advance.

I was not aware TS ever used a HWH leveling system. Everything I have ever seen was the Equalizer System which hydraulically drives the leveling legs down and up. I believe the HWH system uses hydraulics to drive the jack down, but uses a spring to retract the cylinder.

If this is the case, is the spring still intact and functioning? Where are you currently located? I ask because I've heard of cases when the jack is frozen to the ground and the spring force is insufficient to break the ice bond with that type of system? If the spring is good and ice is not an issue perhaps the problem is the solenoid which releases the hydraulic pressure on the return line from the jack.

Sorry I can't provide more help, but still surprised to hear of a TS with an HWH system, although I kinda recall someone with a toy hauler (Model ME) noting some different system installed on those rigs. Good luck.

sailor_lou,
Thanks for the reply. It's what was installed when I bought it. I live in Phoenix, so no ice here as of yet. Guess I'll have to troubleshoot it. Springs look fine.

Enjoy 2023!

Have you ever lubricated your leveling jacks?

I spray mine with WD40 about twice a year.

Friend of mine has had the same issue....he finally replaced it but in the interim....he pried it up with a block and a pry bar. Wasn't a TS though.
