Replacing rug floor for laminated floor help

Tired rug, 06 TS select. Does anyone with advice on how to match the dropdown on the side to the floor when you replace the rug with laminate floor and what they used. On the left side, I notice that the pad under the carpet seems to taper off to the outside. What did you do to match and seal when extended.
Any advice is appreciated.

The Carpet and Pad make the seal - so it will need to be reinstalled.

When we ordered our Coach we had tile installed and moved the Sofa forward about 12" to eliminate the carpet from being an issue in front of it. (added a storage box behind the sofa to put chairs and coffee table in) I tried to eliminate the entire carpet but that was not able to happen because it is the seal.

Not sure what is required in your case but likely need to put new carpet in just like it was, at least along the area that it is used as the seal.

Just did mine full front to back flooring change last fall. I used 1x2 foot laminate tiles, I scored the back of the tiles at the roller 'pocket' so they bent with a little warming and tucked them under the rollers so they roll up smoothly when bringing the slide in. This is the only place in the main area the tiles are secured, the rest float as recommended (learned that my last unit change out)
Then I laid 1/2 inch plywood over the slide's deck so it just covered the gap (about a 4 inch overhang) and capped it with a aluminum L channel to protect the edge. Moved the couch out a few inches so your heels don't sit on that 5/8 inch lip. So there is a little lip but no gap and the new brighter flooring made the work worth while. (Dark brown to light grey)
