Replacing Slide Seals...Easy or hard.

Hey folks... I was just talking to you about the yearly costs of taking care of a TS. Got great answers....Thank you! I'm about to spend $4000 on repairs...(Gulp) that I'm pretty sure in my newbie stage I cannot do it in a timely manner and get moved into the MH.
BUT...
The most expensive thing on the list of fixes is replacing seals on 3 slides. How hard is it? Can I do it myself?

Grateful for your replies.

It depends on the type seal and are you talking about the bulb seal or the wiper seal, inner or outer seals. Are the bulb seals and wiper seals in one piece or are they two piece?

On our trailer, the bulb seals are separate and not that hard to replace. I leave the wiper seals to the shop.

Ken, The TXIceman... Thank you for your response. Based on the flood of responses, LOL, changing slide seals is not for the faint of heart. At this point I don't know if they are bulb seals or bulb/wiper seals. The RV is in the shop. I may go out there today and snoop around. It was good to hear from you and receive your valuable input. Thank you again!!
Where in Texas... I'm in the San Antonio area.
