Shoreline Water Reel

My small gear in the shoreline water reel "rvw5003 broke. Nothing else wrong with it. This is a fiber gear the small one on the end of the shaft of the motor. Motor works fine. The original is no longer available nor are there any parts out there for it. To replace this it will cost anywhere btwn 300 to 400 dollars at todays prices. I remember some time back someone had made a metal gear to replace this. So I did a search and this is what I found. John Delmatoff, jondel1234@yahoo.com, 951-315-9135 sells a kit with this gear and some pop rivets for &75 dollars. This is also the same gear that works in a Shoreline Power Reel model RV5036. I wanted to post this as I am sure there are other folks in the TS community with these items on their motor home. I sent him a email with my phone number and within five minutes he texted me. He still has these gears. I pay pal'd him the funds and he immediately went to the post office with the gear kit and got it in the mail and provided me with a tracking number. Can't beat that for service.

Shore line water reel

SORRY ! In my original post I had a typo on the description of the water reel. However in my post I showed a picture of the Reel and it's model label. Hope this clears things up. It only requires the drilling out and removal of existing pop rivets, the replacement of the broken gear, some cleaning and light lubricating with some white lithium style grease and it now works better than it ever did. This is a lot cheaper than spending 300 to 400 dollars to replace the entire unit.

Very happy to save a fellow out with a simple repair. Mine works better now with a little white grease on the gears too...It is very quiet and pulls that hose in like crazy too...! Have a little patience when installing the gear on the shaft, it fits perfectly, but takes a little persuasion to get it started and on there...Should now last till the motor dies in the performance of its duty..But that is replaceable too....
