Slide adjustment

I have a 2004 DSO2. Is there an adjustment for the front slide [nob and rail]? I have looked and can not see any available. Does anyone know of a repair facility in the Tucson area that will work on an old TS? Especially the coach side of things. My front slide is getting bad enough that I am worried if it does get out, will it come back in. Thanks for any help. Larry

NIRVC has a location in Phoenix and should be well-qualified to adjust the mechanism. The problem with smaller RV service centers is, the technicians do so little slide mechanism work they cannot remain proficient.

Can you give us a little more info concerning the symptoms you are seeing? Everything from the motor to the rollers to the slide rails and more can cause problems with the living room slide.

slide adjustment

Sorry, when I put it out it will jump, stop, and pop and jerk. I have to push and rock it to continue out. The motor seems to be working just fine. By the way, I called NIRVC and they do not want to work on it because of the age. Quote, We are very busy and do not want to take on a project at this time, end quote. Usually do not work on anything over 14 or 15 years old. They did give me a name in Tucson. He said Freedom RV will work on about anything. Anyone have experience with them? Thanks, Larry

Check the mounting bolts on the slide motors. They work loose and cause problems.
Check the slide rails for oblong holes. Had mine replaced at Paul's and my slide operates a lot more smoothly now.
Let us know what you find with these and if that is not the problem we will come up with some more guesses!

Thank you, I have not checked the mounting bolts, but will asap. I was hoping not to have to drive 2000 miles to have it done at Pauls. We come though Tucson on our way out of Mex. That is why I asked about repairs in Tucson. We live in Mex and go back to the midwest to see family occasionally. Larry
