I have sent an inquiry to Travel Supreme asking for schematics on wiring. In light of their troubles,we shall see.
I also would like to find the manufacturer of the slide mechanisms,so I could get some schematics.
The trailer is a 2003 36RLQSO.New to us.Traded in a King of the Road(30ft.)They used Barker Slides.
Any suggestions or help appreciated

As I understand it, the slide out mechanisms are a Travel Supreme proprietary item. In other words, Travel Supreme developed the flat floor slide technology and that other RV manufacturers who use the flat floor slides pay Travel Supreme for their patented idea. (I have no idea if this is a true statement.) Now, as to the electronics, the slide out controllers are Intellitec. They have a website where you can learn a little bit about the controllers. They have a special model controller that offers a two-stage threshold on the current levels; that is, it allows more current into the motor to lift the slide up over the hump, then reduces amperage for the level movement in-and-out. The reason I know about the controller is that the one on my big slide just shot craps. It would come in; but not go back out. I had to physically reverse the motor wires on the controller to get the motor movement to reverse. I believe that the contact points on one of the two SPDT power relays on the circuit board burnt out. I've ordered new relays from DigiKey and will replace them on the board and see if that brings the controller back to life. If not, I'll be buying a new controller from Intellitec. Does this info help? Joe

Thanks Joe,
I have looked at the intellitec site.
Our kitchen slide is about 1/2-3/4" out at the bottom when fully retracted.Weather has been kinda crappy so I haven't messed with it.Soon
tho'.You going to the HDT rally this year?
We're not going this year.

I was under the impression that the flat slide patent etc. was a Newmar design and they developed it and own the patent. Can someone clarify this for us?
The people that created the coach division of TS came from Newmar......

Before Newmar developed and actual slideout there were "tip-outs". While Newmar did develop the first slideouts; there are many manufacturers of slideout mechanism. If you can locate the slideout motor this will probably give you the name of the manufacturer on it. There is a good chance it is a Power Gear. If you find the name Dewald, they are owned by Power Gear now.

Thanks Mike,
I did get to the motor/motors.Everyone of them has the Label on the bottom.Using a mirror I could see a circular emblem with KMG in it.
After it are the words.I could not make out what the "K...... was then MOTOR AND GEAR.
Will try again in a litte better light.Kinda hate to take the motor and gearbox off just to read that label. - You wouldn't have a guess on the name?
Thanks again

Fuzz, I am not sure who this mechanism is designed by. I have seen or heard of the KMG logo. You might try and Google a search to see what you come up with or one of our other members may know for sure and chime in here.

Thanks Jetjam,
I called T/S parts yesterday and they told me that name.Said that they only supplied the motors and gearbox.T/S has them. The slide mechanisms are/were made by several different
welding shops in the area.He didn't have any
schematics etc available. He did say when I got to messing with it to call and they would have a guy help me.
Appreciate all the help from all.

Fuzz - We're not going to the HDT rally this fall. Plan on being in British Columbia until the first snow flies. On the slides - I haven't had your exact problem; but I've had problems with the big slide not closing completely on the forward side. The TS solution was to shim out the back arm. I don't have a clue how these things get out-of-sync unless the cog gear on the motor shaft jumps a hole or two in the arm. Joe
