Slide out controller and electric mizer

I bought a Model 300 intelletec from on line RV parts "dealer" to find it was likely NOT new but refurbished (guessing). After replacing mine, then trouble shooting everything else, found it was a bad "new" controller. I opened it up to find a different relay and marker "arrow" pointing to a flaw on the circuit board.

First, I'm wondering if anyone has any knowledge of these, if the factory marks them up, uses varying components, etc. I did contact the seller and asked for a replacement AND for him to open it before shipping to verify it is not a rebuild. Also stated I will do the same upon receipt. The correspondence was "shady" at best.

Second, I could use some more details about the slide controllers. I see the model 315 differs only with Amperage vs 4-14. Why and should I upgrade?
My 3 slides all use the 300 model.

Third, My TS sucks down batteries like mad. I had modifications over the years that escape me and wondering if anyone has a simplified check list to trouble shoot A, B, C, etc.
