That may be possible. but honestly, getting the door panel off is relatively easy (IMHO). First, remove the screws around the widow, then pry the trim off around the door that holds in the panel. Some have said the trim pieces broke, mine came out easily once I got them started. the last piece is removing the hardware (remember to tape the deadbolt on the exterior). If you take the time to do this it is really easy to see the opening mechanism and get everything as tight as possible.

My door, 04 DSDP 40’ is a lot different. No need to remove window frame. Just pop off panel carefully. Access the mechanism, adjust. I did have to remove the clip holding the rod from the outside latch to the latch mechanism. I then loosened the lock nuts and turned it three rotations to snug it up. Wife tried and can now open the door!

Tape on the outside deadbolt was good idea.

I’m glad it worked out for you. Nothing worse than upsetting your wife just getting in the MH.

That is a good catch to point out the clips holding the rods to the mechanism.
