Tire Pressure & air bag questions
Just returned from my 1,400 mile "test drive" of our new to us 2006 40DS04... ran great, all systems in green. Nice driving coach ... got up the mountains in Ky & Tn with no problem, never saw more than 198 degrees and usually it ran at 192 at 72 mph. trans at 172 max, oil pressure solid at all rpm's. vmpc system says i got 8.7 mpg avg on the whole trip ... doubt it's accurate but it makes you feel better anyway!
2 quick questions for you gurus out there:
what tire pressures are you running in 22.5's. gentleman i bought the coach from had new Michelin's installed on the front for me and the tire dealer set the pressures at 100 front and 95 rear. on my prior 40 ft DP i used 100 all the way around.
only minor glitch is that you have to run the jacks a little bit down then up after you do the all retract ... they come up just fine and all the sensors go out but if you start the coach at that time the air suspension does not fill up. you have to go back to the leveler and run it down a little then up then down the up and try again. once inflated the air bags are fine, proper height, smooth ride and they stay that way till you dump the air and auto level.
any one encounter this this? bad solenoid? where to look?
advice welcome ... thanks!
