Toilet height
I'm looking at buying a 2004 38DS04 and would like to know the toilet height including pedestal. My wife is vertically challenged and doesn't like to sit and swing her legs.

Make her a platform. I wouldn't let that hold me up if I fond the right RV.

I did that exact thing for my wife but it was for the front passenger seat. She decorated it and all is well.

It is High - I'll check the exact height in a bit but if you are against building a Platform you will need to Look a long time, as most are high.
Measure mine 21"
measured one in the house 16"
So a 5" platform to make it the same size.
Hope this helps,

My 2004 38DS04 measures 21" also.
DW is 5'2" tall and her feet do not reach the floor in ours. Her comment to me was "I got used to it." I think there are so many other things she really likes about our coach that she is putting up with this inconvenience.

Lowered toilet seat
My wife and I both had a problem using the toilet in our TS 38DS04. As some suggested, we could have built a platform to stand on when using the toilet but that presented a tripping hazard and would look bad. I decided to remove the toilet and the original tile and framing and lower it. Once finished, it was 4 1/2" lower that the original and works great for both of us. I had to cut the 3" ABS pipe and install two 22.5 degree elbows to get the pipe to the mounting flange at the new lower position. I built a new frame to mount the toilet on and covered it with 5/8" plywood for strength. Then I tiled the floor with 2" tile to match the color and look of the original floor and covered the sides with the tile to hide the damaged area where the original frame was mounted. We put a new elongated toilet on it too which was a preference for us. Works for us now.

toilet height??? There is no standard height. Even within one RV toilet manufacture lineup the models are all diffrent heights. Shop around for a toilet you like. Then find and rv and make changes after you get the rv.

Toilet height
We shopped for a shorter toilet but to no avail. The one we had on it was the shortest available anywhere. So, if I didn't want my wife's legs to dangle and mine to be on my tip toes, I had to mod the toilet mount.
We have seen this on many motorhome models and for the life of me, I don't know why they make them 2-3" taller than any home toilet.
I believe sometimes, it just saves them money or the design engineer never used the toilet in the coach they designed.

I think this is done to make certain the black tank is "downhill" from the toilet.
