Water in slide out

Got my couch out of my 45’ select and found moisture underneath. After a heavy rain the corner of the slide out was soaked. I had the seals redone on this slide last year and they all look great. I’ve looked everywhere and can’t see an obvious leak. There is no water, moisture or evidence from any window, or down any wall which was my initial thought. I did add some silicone on the outside bottom edge of the slide, but this feels like a small gap for the amount of water that penetrated. I’ve pulled up and dried the carpet but am worried about putting it back until I can find the cause. Has anyone had this issue or ideas of where to start looking?

Thanks!

On a slide out room there are many places (seams) that water can penetrate. You will need to clean up any caulk and recaulk all of the joints around the edge flanges, sidewall to bottom, roof joints and any window.

Thanks Ken.

I did a thorough inspection of all the possible joints and seals. I agree, it could leak in so many spots it’s a wonder sometimes it doesn’t leak more. But I was only really able to spot the one area on the outside of that corner that I took the picture of. So I sealed that up and did a hose test. I didn’t notice any immediate water inside. However, I did notice that water pools on my awning above that slide and slowly drains off that front edge. I checked for over 30 minutes and water continued to stream down that spot right over that corner. So I’m hoping that sealing that with silicone will stop the water from getting behind and possibly inside that coach at that spot. Fingers crossed it was just that easy.
