Wipers "smart wheel control box" questions.

I have a 08 TSSL with no power to the wipers. Many thanks Michael E. McAleenan who not only had this problem on his coach, but cued me into the part number and solution. The smart wheel control box had water damage and corrosion (Spartan part number 2562-NN2B-V44). I'm told from the tech repairing this that the box is designed without a water tight seal and wondered if anyone has experience or suggestions to modify or reinforce the new part to minimize the chance of his happening again. Have considered putting a bead of silicone along the seam of this two piece box.
Any insight appreciated.
BTW, I'd include some pics of the parts that Mike sent me via email, but I have not figured out how to post pics from iPads or MacBook airs to threads.
Thanks for your input,
Rick

I have a 2007 DL42; leaking from the light fixture, removed and contact cement gasket sheet over the hole. At home depot or others weather strip around the door with self sticking 1/2, no more problems. The Royal Engineers should have installed the controller around the console, not at the front wheel. Good luck.
