Found brass or copper ring in my generators waste oil. Know itís off plug, but I discovered it after completing the oil change. Do I need to drain the new oil and install or is it safe to wait til next oil change?

It's the crush washer, as Tom said, if it's not leaking don't worry about it, but do check it under pressure. Run generator, then let sit and see if it drips. For that reason I changed the generator drain plug to one of these. Sure make oil changes neater and no chance of stripped plugs. https://www.quickdrainplug.com/fcart...tegory&path=20
