14 Aspire 44B Gen slide

Does the 14 Aspire 44B have a generator slide? I looked and it looks to be welded. Which makes it very difficult for oil changes.

Bottom right side underneath is a T handle. Pull it and the generator will come out half way. On the right side rail there will be another T handle, pull that and it will come out the rest of the way. Generator is heavy so the second part is hard. Easier to get inside and push the cowl with your back. Also spray the HECK out of all the sliding rails with silicone. Most have never been spayed, they are up front where they catch all of the road dirt.

I have flushed the rails with parts and brake cleaner first, followed by silicone spray. Another reason I don't drive in heavy rain anymore.

You may need to push on the generator to take the. Tension off the T handle.

Here are the 2 T-handles on mime - one just under the front driver side generator front panel cover, and the 2nd on the rail as mentioned earlier. The first slide is easy to open, the 2nd can be very difficult, and may require 2 of you to pull the generator forward. Like mentioned, keep it well sprayed. Sorry rotate this image 90 CW.
