16 anthem chassis batteries not charging

Hello. 2016 anthem on 50 amp shore power does not maintain chassis batteries. We have 2 Magnum inverters in control panel. A morningstar remote meeter as well. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Tks

Do the house batteries charge while driving ?

Same device handles that and they are prone to failure. It's a solenoid wired between the chassis and house batteries that combines them for charging. It's also your boost start solenoid.

Did you go through the basics? Inverter chargers turned on, no breakers tripped, voltage checks? What type of batteries, how old are they, full of water?

If the first position of the key activates the INTAKE MANIFOLD HEATER, your reading may be normal.

Does it start?

If not, does it start when using the boost/combine switch?

Is that increase in voltage under the same conditions (key to first position)?

Still doesn't start? Starter click? Starter turns over engine, but no start?

I hit a charge button on both inverter panels. Trys to turn over but only a little.

Yup, could just be a deeply discharged chassis battery.

When you turn on the charge function of both inverters, does the chassis battery voltage jump to around 14 VDC (i.e. it is being charged at bulk charge voltage)?

And, does your monitor panel tell you the charging amps? If so what is it?

So, inverter/charger labeled "top battery rack" shows fully charged batteries with charger in float mode. Assume this is the house battery bank-- please confirm.

ASSUME the inverter/charger panel on the right is for the chassis battery-- please confirm. If so, it is properly in bulk charge mode with correct voltage and charging at 55 amps.

If this is the case, indeed wait until the right hand inverter/charger panel goes into float mode/charging amps are below 10. If it doesn't start now OR if voltage drips substantially when trying to start, start batteries may be bad. Any place that sells batteries should test them for free. But, they will need to be fully charged to properly test them.
