17 Anthem 44b or 20 44W?

We have to make a decision next week. The 17 has 13000 miles on it and is immaculate on inside-we made a quick walkthru when owner got back from FL but didn't spend anytime on ext. Will do a through inspection after dealer gets it. He's also getting a new 44W in and having a hard time deciding if the $110K price difference is worth it. Haven't had jacks for a very long time, been on a Dynomax chassis for 10 years, and really want to stay with air leveling, the 365's up front are also appealing. Other than our quick walkthru on the 44b have never been in a Entegra let alone driven one.

If you can swing the 2020 without a doubt that’s the one to get, especially if it’s a W floor plan. JMHO

I feel a used and sorted out coach is going to be a better experience to begin with, saving six figures is a really nice sweetener.

While the ‘20 will carry all the high tech upgrades, I personally don’t think any of the tech is worth $110K.

If you like air leveling, you can always add that feature to any existing coach for around $10500. I think there are two different companies offering these systems.

The savings is definitely a motivating factor however the " W " floor plan vs the " B " , 20K front end w/365's vs 17 K w/315's a 2 year warranty vs none, possible balance remaining or buying an EW would be very motivating factors also. Colors both interior and exterior or possible modification upgrades to the 17 vs the 20 all must be considered.
The bottom line really is only you can make the final decision !

Thanks for replies, we were planning on getting our "last coach" now but decided on the 17 and will add active air at some point or look at new in a couple years.

Good choice. We thought we bought our last coach first in 2016, but they keep adding features that make not wanting a newer one very difficult.

I think you’ll be happy with the “B” floor plan. It’s been the most popular floor plan for several years. Also, keep in mind that many of the new features for 2020 apply only when driving the coach, a task done less than 3% of the time by almost all owners.

17 Anthem 44b or 20 44W?

I bought my last coach in 2010, then 2011, then 2014, then 2017 then ... well you get the idea[emoji23]. You will enjoy the coach and if the previous owner was good about having things fixed, a sorted coach is a good thing! Then when you’ve spent time it it, you can go get your next last coach!
