Yes it is easier and the reverse rim to clean I don't know how many grease points they are on the couch but I would imagine there should be some type of Kingpin setup

After hearing about the issues Freightliner was having with tire wear they decided to not go that way. Of course in 2018 Foretravel is having Spartan build their chassis so I can't say for sure what the 2018s will have.
The 2018 Spartan chassis for the IH was on display in Tampa earlier this month. Fixed tag. With the location of the drive axle airbags on the new chassis, there might not be room to allow the tag to turn.

(2016 IHs had a passive steer tag, BTW. FT did it, then changed back to fixed for 2017).

It was in the building that had all the big $ coaches. I did a double take and went back to check it out.

That's because they turn just like the front wheels

Are you referring to the Travelride III chassis that Spartan is going to build for Foretravel and had on display in Tampa? It does not have a steering tag and thus has the same wheels on drive and tag

That may have been it but I could have sworn it was a steerable tag. I am old and forgetful though.

I am told that the wheels are the same - Front, Drive and Tag just reversible

The wheels are the same size except only one side is polished. If you reverse the single rims the offset mans they would stick out past the coach so there is no reversing possible. If you had a spare it could mounted on a rim and put in any location (assuming the tires are the same size) and the worst would be that you would have a dirty, unpolished side facing outward. The inner duals are on steel rims which are thinner than cast aluminum. On some coaches the wheel studs aren't long to replace an inner steel rim tire with one on an aluminum rim so that too can be a consideration if one actually wanted to carry a mounted spare.

It is my understanding that the Cornerstone X will be on display at the FMCA later this week. Diane and I are driving up there to inspect (and to go to the NIRVC party). If I can, I'll take some pics or maybe a video which I will post here. I have been told that the X prototype is done with '17 interior colors, so there will be no news there.
