2011 Entegra Anthem 42DL Freshen up

Thought I would start a little thread on some mild upgrades to my new to me coach.
Nothing fancy just a little here a little there that you might like if you have a say.. little more mature coach than others.

If you see something you want info on I will post links. I have had many hours on eBay, google, amazon, rv parts sites, and all kinds of articles trying to find replacement parts for my older coach.

This is what I consider to be ďgoodĒ choices for bringing her up to date a bit. Iíll add to this as the build comes together.
New
Exterior
LED Docking lights
LED aftermarket LED Taillights
LED Ambers
LED Reds
sun bleached wiper fluid lines
New screen door (inbound)

Interioróó- converted from the lights from hell halogens to LED plug and plays
Includes Sconces, cans, dining fixture
Rebuild all Harbor Brass faucets instead of buying new (factory is very helpful) once you find out who they are. Their insignia on the faucet is almost hidden. Replacement parts are not cheap.
All new flat screens
Wood rot in the floor under driver side window.
New 12.8Ē touchscreen that supports gps/radio/360 camera system *not installed yet. Still waiting

So some of these photos represent what we have done so far. Iím not real good at remembering before photos but, I got lucky on some of these.

Hope you enjoy.

Iíll be posting every couple of days.

Wow! That looks like a lot of water damage! How are you sealing the new box?

The way the factory did but better. Using a synthetic membrane on the outside of the box and glued it to the box so it would not flap going down the highway.

On the interior this time I’m going to use schlueter just like I would build a custom tile shower.

This is the last time anyone will be dealing with these stairs in this coach.

Seeing your post, I realized I fixed that problem by accident. On the 14 there was SO MUCH wind noise from the step area, many of us foamed every crack and seam in that area to stop the wind noise. Now I see we also fixed the chance of any water intrusion leading to the damage you discovered. Thank for a look into the past and how one fix, fixed a future problem.

Just went back to my old foaming the steps post. A few got upset thinking I was bashing Entegra. If they could only see it now that it wasn't right and what the future damage was

Thank you for commenting and the finest of products just have their own issues.

Like you,
In no way is this bashing Entegra. I love this coach and I have not done anything but drive her home.

I can’t wait to travel and have the family around me.

Sounds like you were on top and in touch with your coach and that is usually all it takes to prevent small issues from becoming large issues.

I’m a contractor so taking the door out and steps out was a fun project for my employees and I.
We love tearing stuff up!
What we love better is putting it back together better than it was before.

I used a grinder to remove all rust and then repainted the frame before installing the plywood

This thing is rusty from a salt road or two. I’ll be posting a frame Reno shortly

I appreciate your input.

I've always watched Norm Abrams and the crew @ "This Old House" with a sense of awe and envy wishing for Norm's man-cave of a garage!
We now have "This Old.... Entegra"
I look forward to your future posts as you work on bringing the Coach up to par.
Great job!

What was nice from the old foaming the steps post, Entegra saw their error and it was corrected on the later models.

Anything I can assist with on the Classic feel free to PM me.

Will do. When the repairs slow down. I’ll need some manuals on the aqua hot.

The manual is not very descriptive on valve positioning on filling, winterizing, and using the fresh water holding tank but I think I have it figured but had to stop because the kitchen faucet had a broken fitting so have to replace that to fill again and test all of the water items

Aqua Hot has all of the manuals on their site. They have one of the best online manual libraries of any supplier.

I'd be interested in the dock lights you found. I found some LED back up dock lights but they are not an exact fit.

I must say seeing your project...you're not scared to jump in with both feet!

Here are some of the dock lights we did
They’re slightly larger than the factory halogens so we left the bottom line as our plumb line and enlarged the hole on top and one side.

Worked out well.
