2014 Anthem DEQ - picture request

Hi All,

Would it be possible for anyone with a 2014 Anthem DEQ to shoot a picture of the interior with the slides folded in? I am curious to see the space between the dinette table and the counter on the other side.

I'm worried my big ol butt won't fit easily.

Thanks in advance,

Chuck

I'd estimate 14", but someone may jump in that is closed up...I'm not on the light side, but i can easily get to the back. Space is about the same as with any coach that has a dinette.

Dave are the 2013 and 2014 the same? That much space would work for me I think.

Yes, the DEQ floor plan is the same. I'm sure someone will chime in with the actual width. DW thinks 12 inches. In any event, we both turn sideways. I will say, we've dry camped for several days with all slides in. It is livable, but tight.

There is only one narrow part. It's where the L-couch arm and the dining table are located when the slides are in and it's not for very long. Turn sideways and you should be fine.

Believe it or not, I think my 44B floorplan is even more narrow between the couch and table than my DEQ was.

I believe you're right. At the floor it look like one floor tile which is 12".

In the photo (above) of the a DEQ it looks like the table lines up with the pullout counter whereas on the 44B, the table lines up with the L sofa. Mine is open at the moment but I bet it is 10" when closed. Turn sideways and think skinny.

Thanks for the discussion and thanks to Don for the photo. I would like it to be wider but we don't use our coach folded in that often anyway. Mostly it is when we pull over for a meal. That gap looks like something we could live with. If I were engineering the coach for Entegra (in my dreams) I'd make it so the table rotated out of the way or move it a bit. Oh well, it is all about trade-offs.

Space when slides closed

Many rv buyers forget to check out prospective rv with all slides in before buying ! Good question to get that info before buying.

Anthem deq has acceptable space to move to the rear with the slides in. Many models ( mostly other brands) have pinch points that make it very difficult to move inside when slides are in.

Tight spots in deq are as shown in the picture--plus bathroom door can not be opened all the way when slides are in. Access to rear bedroom is also tight.

That said, you can get in the bathroom and in the bedroom when slides are in.

Just a little tight! But very usable.

Also please note , pinch point near front couch and table puts table at head height for little kids.

Overall, deq allows full use of coach when slides are in. Better than most floor plans and rv mfg--but not as good as some.

For us, ( and others who have had their deq for a while-- such as dave and Beth!) , the floor plan works very well and the whole coach is usable with slides in.
