Unfortunately the answer is YES!!!! We own the 2015 Aspire 39 E but it is on the Frieghtliner chassis. Love the coach but this is definitely a design flaw. I did a ton of research about the full wall slide and had reservations before purchasing but I was reassured that Entegra would not engineer something inferior. Well,,,,,,,,,, after about 3,000 miles and about only 12 - 16 uses, my fear became reality. As the slide extends and runs down the arm it seems to drop off at with about 4 inches left with a jolting thump. Every time we opened the slides I would wonder and hold my breath. We were at a CS in Myrtle Beach and after the thump I heard a snap. There are 3 slide arms and the front arm snapped off the plate that is attached to the wall. The refrigerator is on the driver side in our floor plan and the full wall slide really opens up the living space. The middle arm under the fridge is reinforced. I am not sure if your Spartan chassis has the same slide mechanism but the flaw is that there should probably be 4 arms to support the weight or have the all 3 reinforced. Also, the arms were only spot welded to the plate. There are 3 parts to the arm/plate joint that only had 3 one inch welds instead of a continuous weld around the entire joint. (I was not able to rotate the attached picture-- the arm is vertical in the picture)
This may become a separate post but I would really like to know the story about was Entegra's thought process of why they made the 40 ft non tag on the Frieghtliner chassis???
Sincerely,
The Red Headed Stepchild of the Entegra Family
