2015 Cornerstone Tire pressure

Still trying to get my CS ready to travel. Have not been able to find a place that can do single tire weight, so I did the next best thing. Took the CS to a Cat scale. Wheel base is long enough to weigh all three axles at the same time.

Steer Axle: 17,140
Drive Axle: 18,420
Tag Axle: 11,120

Total Gross 46,680

CS has 315/80R22.5 Michelin on drive and tag and 365/70R22.5 Michelin on the Steer.

In going through Michelin RV RV inflation chart, seems to suggest 100PSI in the steer axle, and 85PSI in the drive axle and tag axle. Does this sound right or am I reading this wrong?

These are some large tires, but this coach is heavy and 85PSI in the rear tires does seem a bit low to me.

Anyone have any input on tire pressure?

Thanks!

Similar to my weights. I run 110 in front, 85 on drivers and 85 on tag.

I got about the same weights & data from the Michelin inflation chart. Those are the pressures I run.

Thanks, the CS is a lot heavier than previous HR 43 and the tires are a lot larger. I thought I must be reading it wrong. Heading out to Tucson tomorrow.

Have a great week! Second full week of retirement for me, and I am loving it!

I know you Cornerstones are a bunch of fattys when it comes time tires but when I went to the Spartan course last month almost all of us (Anthem types) dropped our steer axle TP to 120 or 125 and the drive and tags to 85. The charts say we could run 80psi in the back axles but Spartan says they don't recommend running under 85. With your big front tires I would think either 120 or 125 until you get it weighed.

Made a nice improvement in my ride. Spartan said you don't really need max tire pressure in any tire. As long as the table for your tire vs pressure when multiplied by the tires on that axle will carry your load you are fine.

Now if you keep doing burnouts in those ISX beasties you'll be buying a lot of tires.

I run 110 front and 90 back. Had the corner weights done by Doug French in Kerrville.

Mine is a lot heavier on left front than right. I run 115# on steer and 85# duals and tag.

Those 8 AGM batteries behind the left front tire probably have something to do with it.

Just so you know, they run about 10#s higher at highway temps.

While we're on tire pressures. What tire pressure monitor system sensors have you found that will fit the small hole in the front wheels for the 365 tires? I have tst system now, but the sensors are too large for the valve stem holes. Noel

Tire Minder by Minder Research work on ours.

I use Advantage Pressure Pro and they work fine on the steer wheels.

Exactly the same tire sizes we have even though the rigs are totally different.
Our UVW is 46, 400 or so (going from memory so I know it's not exact).
I run 110 front and 90 on the drive and tag although that is 5 psi over the charts.
