Entegra emailed me yesterday stating that there was a concern about slipping. I responded that changing just the top of the steps with a non slip surface would be an easy remedy to keeping the existing beautiful tile entry and cheaper than changing the entire entry unless the reason for the change to the molded system will now be more profitable for Entegra.

We could modify a floor plan, but can't understand why the sparsity of floor plans in their high end coach. In our case we've chosen to wait with our checkbook, or look to other manufacturers, as we followed the same course, and Entegra seems to busy and focused in other areas to listen (as they have heard this tune from a number of others). Guess that is the beauty of the many coach companies is you have alternatives. Just a shame though if you want to stay with Entegra. You've made a good choice. The cup is half full view is if you spend $300+ to get a good coach...tiling the entry for $1k seems like a small price to make it perfect, even if the work has to be done at Precision or some other third party. The good thing is guys like Precision do great work at these types of things. Good luck.
Thank you for all your help and suggestions.

Dave makes a good point. I have spent over $10,000 on mods to my Anthem and I am not done yet. It will still cost me less than the competitor's coaches when I am done, and it will be just as I want it.

Entegra needs to update their website as I don't believe they have any 2014's in production. "Tile Entry Steps" was one of the features that had set them apart from other competitors. That's what the salesperson always keyed in on when looking at Entegra Coaches.
I agree, the website should be updated with pictures of the major changes. We tried to get a 2015 Anthem brochure, but were told it wasn't available and the Entegra website only showed the 2014.

That's one of my complaints about their website.... They know for probably months ahead of time what the new changes are going to be in the future. They have to gear up for it on the production floor. Why is it they can't keep the Entegra website up to date..... The Entegra website is their main link to us consumers.

Explanation we heard at Paso Robles: Have to get a coach long enough to photograph it. If I ordered, I know I wouldn't want them to keep mine a minute longer than they had to. Already waited six months. Also, they are trying to beef up their photography crew. At that time they only had one part-timer. Growing pains, I guess.

Al & Kathy,

I hope you didn't think my post was a suggestion that you were here to complain....after I re-read my post I can see where it sounded that way. and sorry if it was taken that way.

I was just trying to suggest a way to make the entry to your liking. I have been associated with trades people for over 40 years and have found that modifications and improvements on a MH can be done for about a 1/3 of the cost than from an RV specialists and just as good if not better quality.

The tile setter that did the entry landing on my Travel Supreme is a tile and porcelain setter in multi million dollar homes. I bought the matching material from TS and he did a better than factory job with scrolled edging where the tile met the carpet, on his way home from work for $100. and I bought the beer.

I can understand the disappointment from Entegra and I would be too, but I can also see it can be made to what you want if Entegra does not make the changes. Another thing nice about using trades people is they come to you, you do not have to go to a facility to have it done.

I've had tile installed, TV's changed to flat screens, cabinet work done, a computer desk added all in the driveway of my home and for a lot less than RV shops would charge. The end results..... exactly what I wanted and fun getting involved with the projects.

I hope Entegra comes through for you, it would make things a lot simpler. I was just offering a suggestion as an option.

A competent product photographer could shoot a coach in less than a day ... every aspect, every detail from every angle.

I find it rather unusual that a division the size of Entegra from a successful company like Jayco, can not update its website in a timely fashion. This is not accounting for the poor quality of the website in general. Let's all be glad they do a much better job building coaches than they do marketing the same ... sure wouldn't want it the other way around.

I am sincerely sorry ... certainly didn't mean my comments as questioning you ... simply providing some professional, experienced insight to what you were told.

My apologies.

Honestly, all I want is the entry we saw on the 2014 as we were not told of the drastic change in the 2015. We love the 44B Anthem. The floor plan is exactly what we were looking for. The detailing in cabinetry and flooring is beautiful and the detailing and floor plan is the only reason we changed from Tiffin to Entegra. All I ask is for Entegra to give us what we were shown and nothing more. It wasn't our sales person's fault. He didn't know of the change either.

Hey everyone,

We are also in the same place as many on this forum, we are considering an Entegra Anthem, we are excited to do this!
With respect to this thread: Personally, I think the tile entry is unsafe due to its inherent slippery nature so if the modification was to protect us from that condition, Great! I know that is not the point but I had to say it anyway!
There is a second issue at play that seems almost more important and that is the weak link in this chain is the sales people at the various dealers. It sounds like Entegra is first class all the way but they are routinely let down by dealers that don't hold up their end of the bargain and represent this awesome product in a truthful manner! How do we get by that one? Entegra or Other manufacturers seems to be done a disservice when dealers or salespeople don't do the right thing! There ought to be a list of the top 10 dealers in the country and let everybody else step up to that! Just a thought!
Jeff

Its probably late to respond to this tread... But I will any way..and address Jeff's Comment... We toured the 2014 Anthem first. As this will be our first MH i would say both Dw and I were quite un knowledgeable at the time. The first words out of her mouth were WOW!! Form the start... Quickly followed up by " Huh? Ill slip and bust my butt on the tiles when its wet. They need to fix that!" ( referrin to the tiled entry steps ) . When we later returned to tour a 2015 the new entry was the first thing she noticed. It completely sold her as she felt Entegra made the change to address her... Lol.. I smiled. As i later found out from Robin at Orlando Rv... Thats the reason for the change..tiles in the entry although stunning and beautiful were dangerous when wet. I do think the step treads are perfect as they are but will add some mosaic work to the risers for a little extra "pop" . I do custom tile work for High end homes... That will be a simple mod.
Based on Dealerships we have been to in the Central/South Florida area.. I would put RVOne Direct Orlando at the top of our List. They have been Fantastic to us.. And we have not felt the need to "Hide" from Salespeople as we did at 2 other Dealerships... One of the other 2 demanded to know how we will Pay? Before even asking what we wanted..Dw was in a mood that day.. She Responded... Cash sale.. TO ANOTHER DEALER!!! Hahaha it was a fun day.
RVOne is on the Must Visit List for sure as far as we are concerned

Bought mine from Robin at RVONE, great guy, great experience. When I was buying this motorhome I had a friend tell us about how he put rubber backed rugs ( Succession II) in the entry steps in his unit, he also has an Anthem with the tiled entry way, I eventually did the same, absolutely no slip issues at all, but that polished tile throughout the rest of the coach can give you a scare sometimes if you are wearing just socks. But that would be true for any coach with tile.
