2016 Cornerstone Slide Remote

Just bought coach in August.

Today trying to retract slides and remote would light up and even start the slide moving then go dark. Fortunately light panels also have buttons to retract slides

Could my batteries be dead so soon in the remote????

Yep, likely even. Batteries may have been in there for a long time even on a new coach and they aren't much. Replaced mine in the first few months also.

Yup, the remote in my Anthem came with cheap no-name batteries that went out in the first few months. Duracell's been working for two plus years since then.

guess I shouldn't be surprised. Heck this coach was only listed at $635K. Not like it's a big buck Prevo

Mine was acting up the other day. Second set of batteries in 18 months. Wasn't dead but hard to get a signal out. The A123 battery tested at 9.2 volts instead of 12. I'm adding a new switch panel right over the entry door to make it easier to access all four slideout motors.

Mark, I have also found that the remote batteries have a short life span. It must really take some power using the remote, but I use it a lot.
For me it's easier to replace batteries that to wire another switch.

I hate having to find that sweet spot with the remote to shoot through all the steel in the floor to get to the antenna so I went with the switch panel.

I think part of the reason for the short battery life is that the remote isn't your typical press and release remote like a TV remote. Instead you have to hold the button down to continually transmit while operating all four slides. Just a nature of that application I guess.

I hope you'll post a picture of your switch mod. I bought a 2 pack of A23's last time and I am on my second one already.

Well, dang, my Country Coach listed for $749K in 2008 and I don't even have remotes for my slides!

With the Vega Touch, they better. There is also the paper clip jump method on the slide controller.

Slide remote

2016 also have switches on panels.

There's another thread re antenna for remote. I'm going to confirm my antenna is pulled out correctly but that won't fix the dead remote.

It's off to the battery store for me

I found the best price at Walmart next to the cameras. A two pack was in the $4 range. I paid that much for one at Walgreens. It's nice to have the extra battery on board.
