Looks really good.

Do you have a plan to 'lock' the doors for travel?

The center weatherstripping has a magnet embedded in it the entire length. I may throw an additional velcro strap on it to be sure.

1 year update....

The shower has been the best upgrade I've done to this coach (or any coach) to date! We used it extensively between the three of us throughout 2022. No issues to date (knock on wood) sans some caulk yellowing due to the factory oil washing off the shower frame. The shower is very roomy now, not only in width, but also height since the pan is sitting 6" lower on the floor vs the factory one. The thermostatic shower valve also works well, but the aqua hot can't keep up with the wide open flow rate in the dead of winter. I usually throttle back the flow rate and it keeps up much better. That's an aqua hot issue, not a shower issue.

Overall, I'd highly recommend this to anyone with the original puny shower. Definitely makes the the nightly routine much easier.

Was just reviewing your steps and pics. Well done on the project. I admire your determination.

The family and I absolutely hate radius showers. Coming from the boat cruising world and when shopping for our next cruiser, we would skip ANY boat that had even a secondary radius shower. Granted MH are a bit different, I would trade out before tackling your project. Nicely done!

Thanks! I have been through the same thing with boats. The shower always seems to be a sticking point. Plus there you have the other option for a wet or dry head. Always a compromise.

Thanks for the update!
So many times ,folks (myself as well) make major improvements/modifications/repairs and post them here...but rarely do they give a follow up on their project and any recommendations of what they'd do differently next time.
Your new shower is fabulous!
Thanks!

Anytime John.

Are you considering tackling something similar on your 44b?

Not at this time....my shower is in good working order and is already a larger size than you had in your floor plan.
But you never know when changes are needed!
My latest change was removing and trashing the original whirlpool washer with an LG...not much to share, just a lot of heavy lifting...
