Update for 1/16/22 -
2016 Entegra Aspire 42 RBQ
Shower install continued -
The carrier shows the shower is around the corner and almost ready for delivery. I decided while I wait a few more days I would remove the old drain and reconnect the vent. Then I would remove the floor, mock the plumbing up, then add additional floor bracing.
I cut the vent and removed the old drain. I called 3-4 plumbing supply houses plus check Home Depot and Lowes and none of them carry much in the way of ABS pipe and fittings any longer. I used ABS to PVC transition cement to connect the two dissimilar pipes. It's green for reference. In the pics you can see the reamer I used to ream out and reuse that one fitting. It's called a 'socket saver' for reference.
After removing the floor I mocked the plumbing. 90 deg wye plus a p-trap to a 1 1/2" to 2" reducer will allow me to hook it up to the shower.
I then reworked the bracing and moved the clear hose (for my Toto toilet - man is that a badass experience! 🤣
. You can also see the ledger board now screwed to the wall. In my opinion Entegra really cheapened out on floor bracing. They used these 6" braces randomly installed to raise the floor up. The shower needs much more consistent bracing to keep the floor from flexing. That is now fixed.
Onto the pics!
