2016 slide out mechanisms
Good morning Entegra owners. Reading the 2016 model brochures states that the four slides are electric. Does anyone know if the slide mechanisms are Entegra proprietary or if they are made by another company and installed by Entegra?
The reason I am asking is because one of my slides on my current coach is electric and powered by schwintek motors. This particular slide has caused me some issues in the past. Although it has never left me stranded it does get out of synch quite a bit and on the rare occasion it has stopped completely. This has necessitated a complete "reboot" so that the motors could work in unison again.
I don't think Entegra uses schwintek components, but I would like to know what they do use if anyone knows. Thanks much!!

Entegra slides are their own. One thing you never see posted is a problem with Entegra slides. Maybe a broken shear pin once in a awhile but that is a roadside fix for those that carry spares. I have had zero slide problems in 2 years.

Some of the Entegra slides use PowerGear hardware.

My 2014 Anthem is in the shop now getting the big slide on drivers side fixed.
Shear pins are fine. It went out in Florida and jumped the cogges on both ends.
Emergency service had to send two crews before they got it in. Of coarse then the front steps Wouldn't go in so had to have them out again. Had to be part Ape to get in and out going home to Texas

All slides are electric all powered from the same controller which makes trouble shooting fairly easy and all use the same slide motor so in a pinch you could move a motor from another slide. Also it means you could just carry one spare motor if your headed to the waste lands and want a spare. I have only seen one motor failure in my time at our dealership.

Interesting. If all the motors are the same then I like your idea of carrying an extra motor. Seems like if there is a problem it always occurs at 501 on Friday LOL!!!

Motors are all the same, yes, and you could carry an extra, but they don't go out very often. Can't carry an extra of everything. And you can always hand crank a slide in or out in a pinch, the big slide being the toughest because it is up hill...but it can be done.

I'm sitting right now waiting for a call from Entegra after hours because my front driver slide is jumpingbthe cogs. Any info on how to get it in would be appreciated.

Well, it turns out that my slideout problem was not the cogs jumping out of the holes. It was the drive mechanism (transmission?) section of the motor. As it turned the cogs to try to engage the holes to retract the slideout, it would release inside the assembly. To my untrained eye it looked like the cogs were slipping out of the hole it was trying to engage. It was skipping at the drive mechanism. As usual, Entegra CS lined up a mobile tech to diagnose, overnighted the motor assembly, and the mobile tech replaced it the next day. I love this motorhome and the great folks in customer service.
