Pneumatic door locks

I wish they'd bring back the Pneumatic door locks on the sliding doors! They dropped that in 2016 and kind of kept it a secret.......

Hey all, we are new to the RV world and are currently fluttering it in a 2016 Outlaw Class A with our 2 large dogs.

Looking down the road for an upgrade and Enter is at the top of our list, specifically the Anthem DEQ.

I'm keeping an eye out on the changes and hopefully we can find a floor plan that fits our needs in the future when we are ready to move up.

For you folks upgrading now look for me in a few years when you're ready for another upgrade, we make take your gently used DEQ off your hands. LOL

Was that a mid-year change in 2016? The brochure lists Aire-Secure travel locks for all pocket doors. Or was it on all sliding doors before and now just the pocket doors?

(We're looking at some of the remaining 2016's)

Thanks!

Michelle

There are no air locks on any interior doors for 2016. Like Brian said less places for leaks. Noel

So pocket doors yes, the non-pocket sliders (like bedroom to main area in a CS 45B) no?

Thanks for helping me wade through this :-)

Guess I need to check ours. I sure thought I was told our pocket doors DID NOT air lock. Maybe that's why they stay in place so good 😬😬 !

We knew had an air leak because our front gauge would cycle but only when driving. It was a difficult diagnose because it took a test procedure to determine if it was a Spartan, Cummins or Entegra issue. This was a little complicated because at first the dealer wanted Cummins ruled out and Cummins said it wasn't covered under warranty because they knew it wasn't there issue .

On the firewall are components that reduce air pressure ( junior pressure modulators ) and at first it was thought they were not functioning properly.

It turned out to be 2 air leaks in the Entegra " house " system but I never asked exactly what was leaking. The house air only gets fed when the park brake is off ( ie: entry door air locks ) and that confused the tech at first until Spartan/Entegra realized that and passed it on. Just happy to get it fixed !

We had an air leak on our Anthem 44A almost immediately. Same issue. The Front air gauge cycled every minute. Dropping to ~100psi then going to ~145 then back again. The Tucson Spartan shop checked the air systems (in conjunction with Spartan) and determined it was a chassis air leak. We took the coach to Lazy Days Tucson (where we bought it) and they did some further diagnostics with Entegra. It ended up being an airline that was not connected to anything, but was allowing air to escape (on the house side, not the chassis side). The tech capped the line and no more problems. According to the tech, our 44A does not have an air lock for the bathroom door. He thinks they installed the line anyway, but did not connect it to anything. It's on our list to check when we stop at the factory in Sep.

Thought it was a nice feature but if there were underlying issues, I would get why they would eliminate it. I would rather not have to try and chase air leaks too.

SO, do those with 2016's find/hear door rattles whilst driving or not?
