2017 Entegra Insignia entry door

Hello this is my first time on here so hopefully someone can help me out or point me in the right direction. On the coach when you close the door and take off the brake and put in drive the door latch pops up and secured your door. The problem I’m having is it just makes a slight noise but doesn’t spring into the slot like it’s supposed too. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?? When I open the door the round thing that goes into slot has plenty of spring. I am under warranty just hate to take it all the way to Albany and waste my time. Thanks for any input.

Welcome to the forum..!

I do believe the plastic part on the door frame is adjustable and you can do it yourself with a few tools. Others have done it and will be along shortly to give you a better idea on how to fine tune it.

First, check to be sure that the latch on the door is not cracked or broken. If someone opens the door with the air brake released, it can cause the latch to crack resulting in the latch not doing its job. If that is fine, then you can adjust the unit on the door facing side by loosing the 6 or 8 screws which secure the roller latch to the door facing and moving it slightly.

The hook portion of the latch is adjustable. I tried to find pictures on another post, but I am heading out the door. Four screws on the door, sounds like the latch need to be adjusted down.

Here is the post where nowabeachbum described the adjustment. Post #2
