2017 Headlight adjustment

Anybody make an adjustment to their headlights on a 2017 model? My headlights are great if you are looking for deer on the side of the road by not great if you trying to see what is directly in front of you. Looking at the lights from inside the generator house I only see one adjustment screw on the low and high beams. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Man, mine were looking at Mars. I adjusted the Lows and the Highs. Super easy to do once the generator is slided out.

I recently drove from Ballinger TX to Kerrville TX after dark and was very impressed with the head lights. Best lights I have ever experienced. The side lighting went all the way to the pasture fences and lit up the highway very well also. I saw way more deer than I was comfortable with. I am very pleased wth the way mine are adjusted.

I hope you can get yours adjusted to work as well as mine.

Mine was, and still is, terrible... same as yours. Most illumination to the right berm of the road. Brobox will publish a link to the whole process of aiming the headlights at a bigbox building. Or, you can search this forum and look for my own thread that deals with this exact issue. I will try to search for it.... it was probably in October or November of this year.

Here is the thread and it contains links to the aiming process.

I will look for the thread. I did search before I posted but the only post I could find was several years old and I was not sure the lights are the same. thanks.

Well, you are right.. most of the posts to my thread were for Classics, but the process of aiming was laid out there and I would think would be the same. When I briefly looked at my headlights after reading my thread in November, I also only saw 1 adjustment screw and there have to be others, but I have been up to my ears in other projects and have not investigated further. That is one of those tasks on my "ToDo" list but far enough down that it is not getting attention.

I could've gone coon hunting with my high beams. I've turned them down 18 half turns and I think I need another 8-10. Low beams look like they have a hood, but I think that's just the way the light is made.

Tadd:

I understand thinking that there must be a "hood" as the line between darkness and illumination at the top of these lights is very sharp.... from the drivers seat it looks like at one point, there is illumination, and a foot further away there is no illumination at all. Very different from my auto or truck headlight pattern which tend to fade gradually as you move away from the light.

Tadd,
Did you adjust them using the one adjustment screw only? I am going to work on this tonight and am concerned about only having one screw to adjust and putting the light frame in a bind. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, I just used the one screw for my adjustment. Mine seem to be ok side to side, just very high on the high beams.

I just Bought a new 2017 Insignia and am having the same problem.
I am calling Entegra Monday and finding out what they are going to do about it.
Seems that all of us are having some type of headlight problem.
Regards,

Regards,
It's not a big deal, very normal with any new MH. Even if adjusted at the factroy with the MH empty, it's going to change once you load the MH. A Phillips screw driver and a wall is all you need to adjust the lights. Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply

It may not be a big deal to you, but when I spend that kind of money for something it should be perfect.

Thanks for your info.
I will still be calling and having them fix them, at no charge to me.

Get ready for a long two years....there will be lots of items that are not going to be perfect that will need tweaking and adjusting. Many of the items can be adjusted faster from tips from this forum that waiting on hold for customer service, but that is your decision. Enjoy your new coach.
