It has tile floors, just different cut whose appearance could be mistaken for wood. It is the pre16 Aspire (solid front axle, LP aquahot, etc). Here in Middlebury, I am hearing that it is to compete with the Ventana with more upgrades (Spartan Chassis, 450 ISL, etc) at a better price point.

The Aspire was upgraded to compete with the Dutch Star.

I think this mix will really place Entegra in a good position to compete with Newmar.

Spartan Chassis web site has the chassis specs for all the 2017's posted, including the new Insignia.

That is nice to know. One of my contractor friends just put that in his kitchen and it does look nice. Goes to show you, you can't judge everything you see on the internet until you see it in person.

I played with that coach for a day, doing a write-up and photo shoot for an upcoming Family Motor Coaching article. The floors are really quite nice. They are a porcelain floor that has a slightly textured finish and the look of wood. It was a sloppy outside from the previous day's rain and the footprints from dragging everything into the coach just didn't show up. It's a very durable floor that doesn't require as much cleaning. The tile floor on our Cornerstone sure looks sharp but every little dog drool or footprint shows up so it does require constant cleaning. Entegra plans to eventually include this floor as an option in the other models, which I think is a great idea. Everyone I've showed the coach too really likes the floor and is thinking of the less-maintenance aspect. I ran the coach across the scales with full fuel, LP and water and found that there was plenty of cargo capacity available and the front axle had plenty of room left over as well, which isn't always the case with a number of other manufacturers.

They did a good job on the Insignia. It drove great for a non-IFS coach. It doesn't have the VegaTouch system like the upper end units on do in 2017 so it's much like the 2016 models in that respect. But at a price point that is competitive with the Ventana and Phaeton, this coach will find lots of buyers.

Mark thanks for the information...I think

Just when I was convinced that IFS, no propane, and other updates for the Aspire was the way to go. They come along with the Insignia.

For me it will depend on price point, and if the DEQ is one of the other floor plans for later in the year.

BTW, has anyone heard what the other 1 or 2 floor plans for the Insignia is going to be for later in the year?

Nothing said about which floor plans would be available, just that there would be two more by the end of the year, hopefully by Hershey. The question was asked what I thought of maybe even a 37 footer down the road so it looks like Entegra is doing a bit of planning. I do know that Tiffin does well with their 37' coaches as do other manufacturers. The funny thing is that they are all labeled as 37something as their model numbers but in reality they are more like 39'. But they sell well compared to the 40whatevers because many buyers think that 40' is too large. It's all in what the buyer perceives I guess. But I do think that Entegra will have a few different lengths available in the Insignia. I just don't know how soon they will appear.

Hearing that the MSRP for the 44B will be approx $380k. Even with a great discount, that likely puts it just out of my reach as part of the target audience for this new product line.

Will be eagerly anticipating anything else for the Insignia that may bring that MSRP down a bit, so remaining hopeful. And, remaining hopeful for some better floorplans in the smaller models and not the cookie-cutter ones we keep running into across all the other manufacturers. The 44B would have been great - maybe I'm back to the used market again after all...

If so, that's disappointing. We had hoped for a pricing point along the lines of a Ventana as far as MSRP. If the 380K number is correct, then it will push us towards the Aspire as our Entegra consideration. It appears from the drawing on the Entegra site that the Insignia is nothing but a rebranded Aspire.

The Girard awning is in my opinion, a waste of money. I personally don't need one just for the sake of saying I have one. On the 2016 Aspire it is mounted so high and goes straight out making it useless, again, in my opinion. Would have preferred to see a nice Dometic or Carefree, which would have reduced the cost and provided a better sun shade.

Guess time will tell what the actual price point will be.

I was as well, but with a good discount on top of it. Then, I might have been able to swing this. The Newmars don't have quite the discount off of new MSRP as the Entegras seem to have, in general.

The 2017 Aspire has quite a price increase too from previous year. MSRP is now around $425k for the 44B there...

The Insignia does have a bit higher MSRP but it's a 2017 fully loaded at right around $380K. Given that Entegras typically get purchased in the 24-31% discount range they will be pretty comparable to the Ventana, except there will be a few more items in the Insignia. I compared it to a 2016 Ventana 43' coach with a 400 Cummins that was close, but not quite the same as far as features and amenities. The Ventana's MSRP was a bit over $355K. With Entegra's typically larger discount I think the out-the-door price will be very close between the two. It's just a matter of choosing the coach you like best and weighing the factory support and two year warranty into the equation.

The Aspire has stepped up in price in 2017 but the coach is seriously upgraded with IFS, diesel Aqua-Hot, etc. It's now in the same market as the Dutch Star except at a lower price.

Thank you. It is always a pleasure, and informative reading your posts.
We are still going back and forth between what we want. Our pluses for Insignia would be 450hp, side radiator, and "B" floor plan. For Ventana it's Comfort Drive, awning design (trivial to some, important to us), and the ability to customize to our wants/needs.

The 2 year warranty is nice, but not as important to me. My job allows me to drive everything from Class "B" Mercedes to 45' tag axles on a regular basis, so I have a good reference point as to how they each handle.

Think we have moved away from Aspire/Dutch Star until we both retire. We use our coach about 45 days a year, so the real nice stuff can wait until then.

The toughest part is waiting to see the Insignia final product. We have already completed a build sheet for the Ventana, and I want to be able to do as close to apples/apples as possible. I plan on a trip to the factory in a couple weeks, so will get a better idea then.

Thanks for everything you do keeping the RV community informed.

Brian W.

45W Coach #1 is now in paint. In a couple of weeks it might be out of paint and in final inspection so that timing might work out just right. They will also begin production and start running a batch of 45Ws in 2-3 weeks. Add another 11 weeks to that and you'll see them start rolling into dealer lots.
